American Sign Language Digital Learning Platform
A client who authored American Sign Language (ASL) textbooks recognized the need to move from traditional print materials to a modern digital learning platform.
The first phase of the project focused on digitizing and cataloging what is believed to be one of the world's largest libraries of illustrated ASL signs. The searchable database organizes thousands of signs, making them easy for educators and students to access.
Today, we're leveraging AI to analyze the client's textbooks and automatically generate teacher lesson plans, student assignments, and interactive learning activities. AI also suggests new teaching approaches based on the available vocabulary, dramatically reducing curriculum development time.
The long-term vision is to build a comprehensive online ASL learning platform—the equivalent of Duolingo for American Sign Language.
Professional Training & Consulting
A consulting firm specializing in conflict resolution and communication training needed a better way to manage profit sharing, project tracking, and team sales goals. Their process relied on a collection of complicated spreadsheets that required constant maintenance and were prone to errors.
We developed a custom solution that automated the spreadsheet calculations while adding safeguards to prevent accidental changes. The system also maintains a complete history of project revisions while allowing teams to adapt plans as projects evolve.
With confidence in their data and far less administrative overhead, the firm has successfully doubled both its team and project workload. The new system enables everyone to contribute without worrying about breaking critical formulas or processes.
Marine Pilot Operations
One client coordinates the safe passage of more than 800 cruise ships, yachts, and cargo vessels through Alaska's waterways each year. Every voyage involves unique routing, multiple marine pilots, and numerous expenses that must be accurately tracked for billing.
We replaced their spreadsheet-based workflow with a centralized database that tracks voyages, pilot assignments, expenses, operational events, and invoicing.
We're now expanding the system by digitizing pilot expense reports so information can be captured electronically and automatically populate the database, eliminating manual data entry while improving accuracy and reducing administrative effort.
Property Management Mobile Inspections
A property management company relied on excellent software for managing tenants, leases, and payments, but their move-out inspections were still entirely paper-based. The manual process slowed security deposit returns and made it difficult to meet state requirements for returning deposits within 14 days.
We developed a mobile inspection app that integrates directly with their existing property management software. Inspectors automatically receive their scheduled move-outs, complete inspections on-site—even without internet access—and sync everything once they reconnect.
The app captures photos of damages, allows inspectors to dictate notes using Siri instead of handwriting them, and automatically routes repair requests to the maintenance team.
After the success of the initial deployment, the client expanded the system to include their Facilities team. The app now manages quarterly property inspections across their portfolio, providing historical inspection records, supporting capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, and giving management real-time visibility into maintenance needs.
The result is faster inspections, better documentation, improved collaboration, and significant time savings.
Child Psychology Clinic
A child psychology clinic struggled with collecting completed intake paperwork before a child's first appointment. Missing or incomplete forms often delayed appointments and created additional work for administrative staff.
We developed a secure digital forms solution that allows clinicians and receptionists to electronically send each family's required paperwork, along with any additional forms unique to their situation.
Parents receive a secure link to complete and electronically sign the documents from any device. Once submitted, the completed forms are automatically imported into the clinic's system and marked as complete.
The result is a smoother intake process, less administrative work, and fewer appointment delays caused by missing paperwork.
